Elizabeth Avalos

Elizabeth is an LA-based audio engineer. In her mid-20's, after feeling constantly and relentlessly discouraged by her path in life, she decided it was time for a career change. She took the necessary steps, and was 1 of 25 total students accepted to the Citrus College Recording Arts Program. Her interest for documenting was developed at a young age as she was introduced to documentary films by her father and to music by her brothers. Throughout her childhood, she was exposed to their passion for creating (often finding them recording on a 4-track cassette tape recorder!). Fast forward to now: and she has founded The Gaia Haus, a live music project that highlights female musicians. In recent years, she has worked for The Osbrink Agency—which included scheduling and recording voice over auditions; for the Iheartcomix (iheartcomix.com) social media + live coverage team; and as FOH engineer for a wide range of indie bands and events including live KPFK broadcasts, James Supercave, members of Warpaint, Nina Tarr, Irene Diaz, and Ruben Guevara (Ruben and the Jets). Although her primary focus is live sound and studio recording, she continues to hone her audio skills and seeks never-ending knowledge in audio.
