Jasmine Mills

Audio Engineer from Burbank, United States
Hailing from Fredonia, NY, Jasmine has been in Los Angeles since May 2018. Knowing she wanted to pursue a career that included music, technology, and science, she enrolled in the Sound Recording Technology program in the Fredonia School of Music - a division of State University of New York in Fredonia. Jasmine earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Science in December 2018. During her three years on the Fredonia campus, Jasmine participated as a member of the Tönmeisters Association, the student and faculty-run Sound Recording Technology organization. She was also a member of the student-run live sound organization, Fredonia Sound Services. Her projects ranged from recording a full band to analog tape to engineering live streams of Fredonia School of Music concerts and recitals. Before the start of her senior year, Jasmine interned at 4th Street Recording. Gaining valuable contacts and establishing networks, she decided to stay in Los Angeles, and finish her degree off-campus, rather than return to Fredonia for her senior year of college. Now, Jasmine is a freelance audio engineer. She’s a member of Women In Music LA, Soundgirls, and is on the executive committee of the Los Angeles Chapter of the Audio Engineering Society. She also serves as a representative of Soundgirls for EIPMA (Entertainment Industry Professionals Mentoring Alliance). When she’s not being a recording engineer, she participates in live sound gigs, connects with other musicians and audio engineers, and earns a living through background acting. When not working, she enjoys reading fun facts, watching video essays about film, listening to music, and singing (only in her car).
