Adanze Unaegbu

Lady Ze is a Nigerian-American beatmaker, engineer, producer, songwriter, vocalist, and instrumentalist. She grew up in Prince George’s County, MD but chose to attend college in NYC in order to receive an education while pursuing a career in music. She received a B.S. in Engineering Physics from Fordham University in 2017 and is currently a grad student at NYU pursuing a M.M. in Music Technology. Lady Ze describes her overall sound as a mix of soul, r&b, hip hop, jazz, funk, and pop, while citing India Arie as the artist with the greatest influence on her music. Other artists she draws inspiration from include Lauryn Hill, Kehlani, Tori Kelly, Chance the Rapper, Kendrick Lamar, and Jill Scott. In 2017, Lady Ze released an EP, Regretfully Yours, which she completed entirely on her own. It is available for download and streaming on all major platforms.
