Michelle Sabolchick Pettinato

FOH Engineer from Scranton, United States
I began working in live sound in the late 1980s, a time when there were very few women in the field. My professional touring career started a few years later when I was hired to mix FOH for the band Spin Doctors. Since then, I've traveled the world mixing concert sound for some of the most recognizable names in music including Indigo Girls, Jewel, Gwen Stefani, Ke$ha, Melissa Etheridge, Goo Goo Dolls, Styx Elvis Costello, and many more. In 2013 I co-founded soundgirls.org to inspire and empower the next generation of women in audio while creating a supportive community for women working in audio and music production. In 2015 I was inducted into Full Sail University’s Hall of Fame. I am an active mentor and coach to those seeking a career in Live Sound and Music Production and have been a frequent speaker on industry and university panels and conferences. In 2019 I created Mixing Music Live an online video course for Live Sound and Mixing.
