Already acclaimed as part of the new generation of Toronto’s most sought-after professional audio engineers, Cass Beauvais is a leader in setting the standard for a new generation of music recording experts.
Cass’ unique combination of qualifications include a BFA with Distinction in Electroacoustics from Concordia University; a four-month internship with Revolution Recording (2017); and over three years’ experience in professional recording, producing, mixing and mastering for clients spanning classical, big band, folk, hip-hop, rock, pop, indie and electronic genres. From set-up to the final bounce, Cass does it all and at the highest standard. Cass’ training and skill sets offer their collaborators and clients an audio experience that fuses traditional analog values and mastery with digital innovation and “in-the-box” experimentation.
In addition, Cass continuously invests regular dedication back into the music and audio community in Toronto as well as Montreal, having led and panelled at recording and production workshops for Rock Camp for Girls and Gender-Nonconforming Youth (Montreal), Intersessions (Toronto), and assists at the H.E.R. Womxn in Production series led by Toronto engineer and producer Lisa Patterson from ImagineIt Studios. Cass also has over five years’ experience teaching students privately in piano, music theory, composition, songwriting and audio production as well.
Cass has a very active career as a an artist with their experimental pop band Sea Beau, and plays shows and has recently been collaborating on live electronics with local jazz projects as well. Cass works full-time as a freelancing engineer at a variety of studios with their ever-expanding client basis.
