Gina Récamier, known as Madame Récamier. Mexico City born singer-songwriter who embraced Spanish pop as her main genre, influenced by a variety of styles. Madame grew up in an environment of musical cinema, watching musical films from spain by "Pili y mili", "Marisol" and "Rocío Durcal" that her grandfather and great-grandfather produced. Traveling a lot as a child, because of her fathers job, she learned english and Italian, opening her cultural inclusion and leading her to be open with all kinds of genres. She started playing guitar and piano at the age of 14, playing in pubs as her first professional music gigs. By the age of 17 she already had an album with her first project: "Tripped Lips". When she turned 21 she began touring with renown pop artist: Aleks Syntek and working on her own material. Four albums make up her musical journey as an independent artist, which were received with praise in the national and Latin American music scene opening opportunities to do themes for theater and cinema, playing in important festivals (Vive Latino, Corona Capital, SXSW), be part of the first generation of the “María Grever scholarship”, making video clips nominated and winners of the "Crystal Screen" award. Today she works as studio manager in Mexico city while working on her 5th album as well as producing songs and videos for other artists; contributing to the Mexican independent music scene.
