Banu Sahin

Graduated from the Audio Design / Music Technologies Program in the Yıldız Technical University, Istanbul, Turkey in 2014. During her Bachelor studies, she attended to the Institute for Computer Music and Electronic Media (ICEM) in the Folkwang University of the Arts for a year as an exchange student. In 2014, she was accepted for the Music Acoustics Master’s program of the Erich-Thienhaus-Institut, in the Detmold University of Music as a TEV/DAAD scholar. There she specialized in room acoustics and investigated the correlation in between room acoustical parameters and seat preferences in Detmold Concert Hall in her Master’s Thesis. In 2017, after her graduation (pretty much the next day) she started in a manufacturer and pro audio solutions company, db audiotechnik, as a member of the Education and Application Support Department where she is still working for. She has a passion for immersive audio and has been involved in various db Soundscape applications during her employment. In her free time, she enjoys making music, playing drums, hiking the nature, learning and thinking about all kinds of things to their edges.
