I have enjoyed a career in the classical music industry since 2012. My classical career started with the record label LSO Live where I worked my way up from the label assistant to the Marketing Coordinator. In 2016 I was headhunted to the digital music distribution company, The Orchard, to be their Classical Label Manager, looking after the digital business of fantastic classical labels such as LSO Live, Signum & Channel Classics. Due to my acquired knowledge regarding distribution & the contacts I’ve made at various distribution channels, combined with my passion for digital & all the opportunities surrounding streaming, I am now the Streaming & Distribution Specialist for a fantastic forward thinking classical label, PENTATONE, based in The Netherlands. I am very confident in my communications about the classical music recorded music industry, and I have given different presentations, from presenting the opportunities of Virtual Reality within classical music at The Orchard’s annual EU Summit, to monthly deep dive sales analysis which I give now at PENTATONE, as well as regular updates about developments within the music industry as a whole. I have written two blogs on the subject of classical music and young audiences, and I am one of the founding members on the Classical PR committee set up by the BPI. I am incredibly passionate about the music industry in general and I am always researching into opportunities of reaching new audiences through innovative digital technologies and initiatives. Alongside all of this I am also a piano teacher for beginners!
