Ketevan Dolnikova-Scheipner

I am a sound artist and composer based in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. Under my artist name Ketty Van Doln I create sound installations, experimental sound performances and electronic music. Under my original name Ketevan Dolnikova-Scheipner I compose music for Film and Theater. Though I studied classical piano and jazz vocal in Moscow, I quickly began exploring electronic music and sound art. I hold a Master's Degree in Sound Art and Composition from the Johannes-Gutenberg University Mainz (Hochschule für Musik). Influenced by the studies of linguistics that I also attended at the Moscow State Linguistic University (Diplom of French Language and Intercultural Communications), my sound works and compositions introduce repetitive practices while exploring existential ideas of chance operations.
