Florence Barrau-Adams boasts over 20 years of experience working in audio/video media, having served as producer, director, writer, host, editor, and production engineer on various productions. She worked for WNYC, Simon & Schuster, Scholastic, Weston Woods Studios, to name a few. Florence was an integral part of creating eight audio programs from inception to implementation. She has produced, directed and edited audio books, sound designed for film and theater productions. Currently, Florence produces three podcasts - Justice in America (a pod that discusses topics in the American criminal justice system and explains what they are and how they work), The Appeal ('s interview format podcast on criminal justice reform, abolition and everything in between), and Citations Needed (a podcast about the intersection of media, PR, and power, CN boasts over 2500 subscribers on Patreon and over a million downloads). For video, Florence specializes in short format productions; author interviews, behind the scenes segments, slide shows, sizzle reels, and iconographic animations. She has extensive experience in online media delivery formats. Since 2004, Florence has taught production classes at institutions such as Brooklyn College and Ramapo College of New Jersey. She is currently an Adjunct Professor at New York University, Undergrad Film & TV. Florence works with ProTools (ACI) and Premiere.
