Sharon Larson is a sound engineer who has been working in television, film, theater and in recording studios for over 25 years. She is a NYC native who has lived all over the country. She and her husband moved to Idaho in 2007. Sharon began in Orlando, Florida working on the 1990 “Mickey Mouse Club” audio crew for 3 ½ seasons with Kerri Russell, Justin Timberlake, Lindsey Alley, J.C. Chasez, Ryan Gosling, Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera. In addition, she was Music and Claymation Coordinator and Voice-Over Producer on “Adventures in Wonderland”. While at Walt Disney World she also engineered audio for many events including: 20th Anniversary of Disney World, “Full House”, “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Eve”, “Regis and Kathy Lee”, “Good Morning America” and “Celebrity Wheel of Fortune” with James Brown, Little Richard, Gladys Knight (Pips not included), Tammy Wynette, Weird Al and Tanya Tucker. For 5 years in Nashville, Sharon was employed as a recording engineer at Ocean Way and Sony Tree Demo Recording studios working with artists such as Brooks and Dunn and Jars of Clay. She mixed live television events for the WB affiliate as well as recording sound for TNN shows such as Crook and Chase and An Evening at the Grand Ole Opry. Other events covered artists such as Diamond Rio, Jo Dee Messina, Billy Ray Cyrus, Leann Rimes, Garth Brooks, Vince Gill, Clint Black and Neal McCoy and Tracy Lawrence. Since moving to Boise Sharon has been a Field Mixer/Boom Operator on various shoots including: the 2009 Special Olympics, shows for WE, NBC, MTV, Lifetime, A&E, AMC, ESPN, ABC, various commercials and did audio restoration for “BRAVO! Common Men, Uncommon Valor”. She began mixing theater in Erie, PA in 1999 and continued once she moved to Idaho. Sharon worked at the Nampa Civic Center for five years mixing live events. Her company, Larson Sound LLC, was part of Idaho Media Professionals since its inception in December 2007 and continued through 2014, serving as Treasurer and Membership Coordinator. In 2012 and 2013 she taught audio workshops at the CWI-Expand your Horizons event. She’s also trained multiple churches in audio. She is a member of both Women’s Audio Mission and Sound Girls.org. Sharon has both Pro Tools©8 Music and Post certification. She currently uses Pro Tools 12. Back in 2009 Sharon was hired by Healthwise to produce, record and edit their medical audio library which was being re-recorded. She produced over 400 hours of medical scripts. That got her thinking about audio books. In 2016 she produced her first book for local author, Conda V. Douglas. They have since done 2 other books together. In 2017 Sharon built a studio to record audio books connected to her home. Although she has the ability to go mobile she prefers to record at her studio.
