At the moment, Kirsten is a technical director for the Carolina Theatre of Durham. In this role, she advances production details for national touring acts among a myriad of other events that pass through the 1,000-seat historic Fletcher Hall. Before taking on this role, she was a full-time staff member with the University of North Carolina at Charlotte as a Technology Support Technician for the 232,000-square-foot Barnhardt Student Activity Center. She has also been employed with Walt Disney World as an Entertainment Stage Technician stationed at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Although she was most often found working on a live show, she assisted with various events - such as the Disney Dreamers Academy with Steve Harvey, dedication ceremony for Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway, Disney’s Magical Holiday Celebration on ABC and multiple press events for the opening of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. In terms of education, Kirsten pursued an undergraduate degree from Elon University with emphasis placed on live sound production, audio engineering as well as mixing. She further endeavored to complete two internships with highly esteemed theaters across the East Coast - The Naples Players in southwestern Florida and Hangar Theatre in upstate New York. Although her most notable work is in live sound, Kirsten has also engaged in work involving recording studio projects, A/V technology in addition to post-production.
