Xaina Lerner

I have been involved in sound for over 15 years. Currently mixing at a variety of clubs in the Bay Area. As well as mixing albums in an analog studio (ElStudioSF.com). With a history in event production, I am reliable and efficient at festival work. I work well with indoor/outdoor electrical/generator power. Also well known for my easy going, calming, fun and professional attitude, but above all, my mixes. I am devoted to the idea that musicians are my lifeblood, and it is my job to create harmony and connectivity between crowds and musicians. I love what I do. Some of the biggest festivals I have worked as tech/mon tech are: Reggae Rising Festival (Humboldt County), Caliroots Roots Reggae Festival(Monterey, CA). I was a local stage tech for lots of incredible musicians (Dark Star Orchestra, George Clinton, Ween, Mickey Hart, Snoop Dogg). One of my favorite gigs was running monitors for Keith Jarrett. I worked for Sylvia Massey at Radiostar Studios in Weed, CA for a stint on her Neve 1073! Now currently working at Phil Manley's (of Lifecoach/Trans AM) studio in SF. Mixing 2" tape on a Ampex mm1200. I've done sound design, live recording, and everything film/tv. I am proficient at arriving to any show, any board, and creating master mixes. I love the kick drum more than any instrument. its our collective heart beat and is so important in my mixes. I never had the opportunity to go to school for this, I was too busy learning on the go! I am a walking story and reflection of the teachers and mentors that have helped me find my career.
