Teri Grossheim

Teri Grossheim is currently a Lead Technologist / Associate with Booz Allen Hamilton. She has held consultative, technical and business development roles for several organizations as well as management roles in IT, higher education, software/mobile app development, and professional services firms. Teri received a MBA from DePaul University Kellstadt Graduate School of Business, where she studied management information systems and consumer insights, and holds a M.S. in Music Technology/Informatics from Indiana University - Purdue University Indianapolis (summa cum laude). She is currently a co-organizer for The Association of Computing Machinery (ACM) Chapter in Washington, DC and has recently presented twice to the ACM Chapter in Chicago. As a 13 year member of the Audio Engineering Society, Teri held international, regional, and domestic positions and was part of committees for three AES Conventions (125th in San Francisco, 125th in Munich, & 127th in NYC). For the better part of a decade, Teri's career mainly focused on working alongside Apple to engineer Mac and iOS deployments for Fortune 500/enterprise, small business, financial, government, healthcare, and education customers where she was part of the team to help build Apple's supply chain under Tim Cook. She's worked on strategic projects for Apple in healthcare and education, including pre-sales engineering for Chicago Public Schools / Apple's 'Everyone Can Code' initiative with Jamf, an industry leader in Apple device management. Post-MBA, completed a short term contract as a Solution Architect at United Airlines, where she was an IT consultant for a mobile device environment co-supported by Apple & IBM. Early in her career, Teri interned at audio facilities in the San Francisco Bay Area, including working for Green Day (Studio 880/Jingletown Recording) during the recording of American Idiot as well as supporting some of their side projects (The Network, a new wave group, which made their recent TV debut in 2021 on 'The Tonight Show w/ Jimmy Fallon'). American Idiot won a Grammy award for Best Rock Album in 2005 and the Broadway musical based on the album ran 422 performances between 2009-2011. After completing credit internships at Studio 880/Jingletown Recording (Oakland, CA), Seneschal, and San Francisco-based media/academic facility Pyramind, Teri earned a B.M. in Recording Technology (cum laude) from the University of Wisconsin - Oshkosh. During her undergraduate studies, Teri worked part-time in broadcast engineering/radio, music instrument/pro audio sales, as well as work study, in addition to being awarded a National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) scholarship.
