Seyu Tawana

Seyu means saying "yes!" to yourself, especially when it comes to your capabilities and giving yourself permission to be the “you” you’ve always wanted to be. I moved to Los Angeles, Ca from Dayton, Oh about a year ago. I decided to move after realizing that I was unfulfilled and tired of playing things safe. It took me years to have the courage to share my music. I was so afraid that no one would truly value what I created, but once I released my music, I realized that people not listening was actually the worst part. I’ve gotten to a point where it doesn’t matter to me if someone likes my work or not, it matters that they know it exists and they heard it. I hope that someday people want to take what I've contributed home. I make music, photography, video, and write with so much in mind, all of which I want to share and give to others to take home. It feels amazing to create and I hope it will, at some point, feel just as amazing to experience. I’m obsessed with the world I’m in when I’m creating. It’s an overwhelmingly universe of creativity. I’m trying to invite as many people as possible to that place and I hope they come along and take pieces of it home.
