Carys Matar

My name is Carys and I am a musician with many branches. I originally grew up in South Texas and Mexico. Growing up in a Mexican home in America provided me with an understanding of diversity and the importance of culture. It inspired me to begin writing and has helped me become the artist I am today - one who is open to new ways of creating all sorts of flavors and making sounds that inspire and evoke emotion. I had the incredible opportunity of studying film scoring and music synthesis (aka electronic production and sound design) at Berklee College of Music in Boston ('14). I am excited to be living in L.A. as a freelancer. In my spare time, I teach private cannabis-enhanced restorative yoga classes and practice fire spinning! Most of my yoga classes are done to original music I have produced for a fully-curated relaxation experience. Send me a message to learn more about me!
